69. Frederick SHALLCROSS
 (Frederick SHALLCROSS ,was born 2 Jan 1924 in 52 Mealhouse Lane ATHERTON and obtained a marriage license 13 Jan 1945 in St Johns Parish Church Market Street Atherton Lancashire. He died 19 Mar 1993 in Leigh Infirmary and was buried 26 Mar 1993 in ashes @ Howe Bridge.




Frederick married  IVY UNSWORTH
IVY was born 24 Sep 1921 in ATHERTON. One of thirteen children, worked in the cotton mills of Atherton most of her life.
Fred worked in the coal mining industry all his working life, he was to young to join the forces when war began and so became what was to be termed a “Bevin Boy” this was to say they /he was more use producing coal that going to war. He died of cancer and suffered from poor heath & breathing problems after working for more that 43 years in various pits in the Lancashire coal field.

70. Arthur SHALLCROSS was born 14 Jul 1921 in Atherton and agreed on marriage contract 13 Feb 1943 in Great Heywood Staff's. He died 2 Feb 2002 in Atherton and was buried in Howe Bridge Cemetery.


Distinction: Served in the Royal air force 1942/46 was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for his contribution towards the success of many missions over enemy lines. At the end of the war he worked in the Mines and achieved the position of “Pit Deputy” he was also a volunteer in the mines rescue service.



Arthur married  Constance Amy BUCKLEY . Constance was born 10 Aug 1919 in Clum Shropshire.

82. William Evan EVANS  (Charles EVANS , Mary Ellen SHALLCROSS , Enoch SHALLCROSS , Joseph ) was born 17 Sep 1932 in Brandon Manitoba and obtained a marriage license 8 Dec 1955 in Alexander Manitoba.

William married  Victoria Rose DYER . Victoria obtained a marriage license 8 Dec 1955 .

They had the following children:

Charles Wayne EVANS  was born 16 Sep 1956 in Brandon Manitoba.

Patrick Allen EVANS  was born 9 Mar 1959 in Brandon Manitoba.


Patrick married  Deena Rae DAVIDSON . Deena was born 8 May 1953 in Flin Flon, Manitoba Canada and obtained a marriage license 30 Dec 1992 in Winnipeg Manitoba.



Carolyn Jeanette EVANS  was born 22 Oct 1960 in Brandon Manitoba.


83. Roger Charles EVANS  (Charles EVANS , Mary Ellen SHALLCROSS , Enoch SHALLCROSS , Joseph ) was born 21 Oct 1936 in Brandon Manitoba.


Roger married  Carmen LAZARTE 1. Carmen obtained a marriage license 21 Feb 1970 in Lima Peru.


They had the following children:

86. Owen SHALLCROSS  (Harry Kirtley SHALLCROSS , Joseph SHALLCROSS , Enoch SHALLCROSS , Joseph ) was born 12 Nov 1928.

Owen married  Marion MARSDEN . Marion obtained a marriage license 1 Mar 1953 .

Irene married  Roger William BARNACLE . Roger obtained a marriage license 14 Nov 1961.
